VAM WA1 – WATER ACTIVATED WRAPPING SYSTEM
Rapid Composite Wrap for Pressurized Repairs
Water-activated composite wrap designed for pressure- retaining pipe repairs up to 100 psi (approximately 7 bar). It cures quickly in humid conditions and is ready for service within two hours at 32°C.
Fully compatible with VAM PT1, it provides effective live-leak sealing and surface rebuilding. Formulated with a high- performance resin and fiber system, VAM WA1 delivers strong, reliable results without the need for hot work, making it suitable for offshore, marine, and hazardous environments.
It is available in 50 mm and 100 mm widths, each with a length of 3.6 meters, and is included exclusively in the VAM QuickWrap Kit.
MOISTURE-ACTIVATED TECHNOLOGY
Engineered with moisture-activated technology, curing upon exposure to water or humidity. It ensures reliable performance even under challenging conditions, providing peace of mind for maintenance teams working in harsh climates.
PRESSURE-RETAINING PERFORMANCE
When used in combination with VAM PT1, VAM WA1 can withstand internal pressures up to 7 bar (≈100 psi). This high-pressure capability ensures that pipelines, tanks, and vessels maintain their integrity during both emergency and routine repair operations.
FAST RETURN TO SERVICE
Achieves full cure in as little as 2 hours at 32°C, enabling rapid repairs with minimal downtime. This fast-curing property is crucial for time-sensitive applications, allowing assets to return to service quickly while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
COLD-APPLIED FOR SAFE FIELD USE
VAM WA1 is applied cold, requiring no hot work or specialized equipment. This makes it safe for offshore, marine, and hazardous industrial environments. Its installation across various pipe sizes allows field personnel to perform repairs efficiently and safely, even in confined or high-risk locations.
